THE Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) has designed courses, Hands-on with ARM:Programming Embedded Systems and Linux Internals and Driver Development, according to its director N Sarath Chandrababu. The two-week faculty updation programme covering these courses will be conducted from Feb 16 to 27.
The primary objective of the programme is to update the skills of the engineering faculty in the advanced domains of IT, keeping pace with the industry. A dedicated team of R&D experts and professionals working in these specialisations will share their knowledge and experience with the trainees. Explaining about the importance of the course, Sarath said that embedded systems had become the next inevitable wave of technology, finding applications in various engineering fields. Developing the embedded software requires skills from sets of the hardware and software technologies. The demand for these skills was increasing in automotive, avionics, industrial automisation, and telecommunications, he said. More details about the programme are available at www.cdachyd.in/future.
