HYDERABAD: The assembled crowd at Polo grounds in Secunderabad went through some anxious moments as Capt Balinder Singh in his para-motor faced heavy winds, making it difficult to land at the designated place. When he finally did, it was a moment of pride for him and his entire team, who have been part of a relentless journey since nine days. Balinder and his four member para-motor team began their expedition from Jabalpur on November 21 and ended it on Tuesday in the city. The expedition was part of celebrations of the Army Ordnance Corps 9th Reunion. The five-member team travelled 700 km in nine days.

Throwing some light on his experiences during the expedition, he informed, “We stopped in eight places across three states on the way.

Wherever we halted, we had a large number of civilians come over and talk to us.” According to Balinder, the para-motor though exciting to ride, did give them some harrowing times when faced with strong currents.

The team was felicitated at a special function to celebrate the reunion. The event also witnessed some breathtaking acrobatics, aerobics dance and a captivating pipe and drum march past by jawans.
