HYDERABAD: Even as the IAS fraternity is up in arms against the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probing many of their top officers in the state, the investigation agency questioned senior officer K Ratna Prabha Saturday in connection with the illegal assets case of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The senior IAS officer was reportedly issued a summons sometime ago but she appeared before the agency at the Dilkusha Guest House around 10 a.m.

Saturday.

She was reportedly grilled till about 12.30 p.m.

Ratna Prabha, a Karnataka cadre IAS officer, worked as principal secretary, information technology and communication, during late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's regime.

CBI officials questioned her regarding issuance of various government orders, issued in connection with lands allotted to various companies in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and the twin cities during YSR's tenure.

It is reported that some persons, who invested in Jagan Mohan Reddy's companies, benefited by various government orders allegedly issued during the tenure of Ratna Prabha under YSR's rule.

Ratna Prabha has worked in various departments ever since she was deputed to the state.

Over the last two days, the CBI has questioned former chief secretary P Ramakanth Reddy, who heads the AP State Election Commission and senior IAS officer Ajay Mishra, currently secretary, general administration department (GAD) but who then was the principal secretary for rural water supply
