Narasimha Reddy of the High Court on Friday expressed displeasure at the AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation alienating for a golf course lands acquired from farmers for a public purpose.
The judge was dealing with a petition filed by AL Sadanand seeking a direction for the return of his 14- acre land which were acquired by the government in the name of public purpose.
The petitioner told the court that a portion of his land was allotted for establishment of an electricity sub-station and the remaining for a golf course.
Justice Narasimha Reddy observed that the APIIC had completely lost it focus of original intent of encouraging industries.
