HYDERABAD: Banjara Hills police on Saturday arrested senior Tollywood actress, who played various roles in low-budget movies and a man, who is said to be her husband here on Saturday.

The allegation is that the actress was luring young and beautiful girls into the profession of prostitution.

During interrogation the actress esd also involved in a fracas with a head cop of the PS.

 According to police, the actress was involved in ‘duping’ girls in the name of providing job opportunities and forced them to become prostitutes.

 The actress has been identified as R Tara Choudhary alias Rajeswari, native of Guntur and another person Prasad, who is said to be her husband.

 Banjara Hills Inspector M Sudarshan said that Tara Choudhary attracted young girls promising them jobs and then forced them into prostitution.

“One girl approached Tara for a job opportunity and submitted her resume along with a few photographs.

After submitting her resume and certificates, she was asked by Tara to start a brothel for easy money,’’ police said.

 The victim lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police on Saturday.

Based on the complaint, police arrested her and another person Prasad.

Around 12.20 pm on Saturday she had heated arguments with head constable Nageswar Rao. R.

Tara Chowdhary, has acted in movies like ‘Adrushyam,’ ‘Rakshakudu,’ ‘Priya Sakhi’ and ’Love Ticket’.

Police said Tara used to send e-mails, chat with unidentified persons and lure them.
