HYDERABAD: Osmania University women faculty members and students’ demand for restrooms and toilets remain unrealised for years.
Some of the women faculty members who are members of the Executive Council have raised the issue during the budget meeting of Universities Academic Senate held recently.
Senior faculty member of commerce department, Prof M Sulochana had raised the issue during the budget meeting of the university. She said that the varsity had failed in allocating funds for construction of restrooms and toilets. Vice-chancellor S Satyanarayana said that the college principals have sufficient funds to spend on these facilties. College principals cannot spend more than Rs 25,000, Sulochana said.
