HYDERABAD: The process of disqualifying three MLCs is under way and action will be taken after receiving explanations from them, Legislative Council chairman A Chakrapani has said. Speaking to reporters here on Monday, he said the Congress Legislature Party lodged a complaint against three Congress MLCs Pulla Padmavathi, SV Mohan Reddy and K Murali, and sought their disqualification. But the members urged the chairman to give them two weeks’ time to explain their stand.
He said a house committee would go into the alleged irregularities in the works on Hyderabad-Ramagundam Rajiv Rahadari.
The House took up short-duration discussions on ACB raids, excise policy, electricity, welfare and education during the period, Chakrapani said.
