HYDERABAD: A 42-year-old male employee of a private firm attempted suicide by consuming a cool drink laced with poison for Telangana cause at Nagaram in Keesara police station limits on Saturday. Krishna Reddy is working in a borewell rig company in Cherlapally.

Sub-inspector B Bhaskar said Reddy allegedly slipped into depression as the formation of a Telangana state was getting delayed.
