Former techie cheats bank of Rs 7.5 lakh

HYDERABAD: Task Force police on Monday arrested a man who duped a bank to the tune of Rs 7.5 lakh and obtained credit cards by applying online and submitting copies of documents of others.

HYDERABAD: Task Force police on Monday arrested a man who duped a bank to the tune of Rs 7.5 lakh and obtained credit cards by applying online and submitting copies of documents of others.

Police seized a computer and two mobile phones from the accused, Vanga Srikanth, (25) of Vivek Nagar in Chikkadpally here.

A native of Karimnagar, Srikanth, after completing an engineering course, joined Amazon Software Company as a process executive. He quit the job and tried to settle down as a film writer. All his efforts having come to a nought, he landed in severe financial problems.
