HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Metro Water Supply & Sewerage Board managing director Adhar Sinha and director (technical) D Sundararami Reddy inspected the Shaikpet filters, and the Osmansagar and Himayatsagar reservoirs in O&M Division XVII on Friday.
Sinha instructed the general manager (engg) to propose the use of the wash water of Shaikpet Filters for non-potable use in nearby areas, instead of draining it down to Musi.
He also inspected the sites in Osmansagar and Himayatsagar reservoirs for pumping arrangements in view of the depleting levels. He also checked the raw water of both reservoirs and the colour and odour to be normal. Sinha also inspected the Sarpagandha Nursery Park at Himayatsagar.
Transmission circle chief general manager (engg) V.Visweswaraiah, divisional manager (engg) D.Sridhar Babu and general manager (QAT) Y Narsappa accompanied them.
