HYDERABAD: The High Court will hear on Friday an appeal by the crime investigation department (CID) challenging an order of a single judge directing the court registry to initiate suo motu contempt proceedings against CID chief SV Ramana Murthy.
It may be mentioned here that justice Ramesh Ranganathan ordered contempt proceedings against DGP V Dinesh Reddy and Ramana Murthy for suppression of facts before the court in a plea by senior IPS officer Umesh Kumar.
