HYDERABAD: Tension prevailed at Jirrah in Asifnagar police station limits for sometime on Saturday when a history sheeter stabbed another. The injured was admitted to hospital with serious stab injuries.

ACP T Nagaraj Kumar said that Chand Pahelwan, a history sheeter of Manghalhat, attacked with a knife another history sheeter Shakeel. “We suspect old rivalry might have led to the attack. When Shakeel was in Jirrah, Pahelwan, along with his friends, attacked him with a knife,’’ the ACP said.  Residents in the area alerted police about the incident and Shakeel was shifted to Osmania Hospital. His condition is stable.
