HYDERABAD: A person was arrested by customs officials at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday morning for carrying saffron worth Rs 9 lakh illegally. According to police, Kizur Abbas Abudullah, native of Mumbai was carrying saffron from Sharjah to the city. After arriving at the Shamshabad airport, Abbas tried to come out with the saffron. During checking, customs officials found Rs 9 lakh worth saffron. He was arrested and produced before Nampally court and sent to judicial remand till February 21.
