HYDERABAD: The state road transport corporation will pay salaries to its employees in the Telangana region for the strike period (September 19 to October 16, 2011) between April 15 and 20. The government has given the nod to the RTC to pay salaries amounting to Rs 35 crore for the strike period. As many as Rs 50,000 employees in the region participated in the Sakala Janula Samme.

During the talks with employee unions the government agreed to treat the strike period as earned leave.
