In an endeavor to bring in the whole Broadway experience to Hyderabad, Shirda Productions are coming up with their maiden Broadway production “Aladdin and the Lamp of Magic” to the Nawabi City. With a passion for the Broadway musical plays of the United States and a taste for extravagant sets, the Hyderabad-based company, has come together to put across live musical plays on the lines of Broadway theatricals, for the Hyderabadi theatre enthusiasts

The uniqueness of this venture is that all music will be live, not recorded, and the songs will be sung by the actors themselves while acting.  The director of the company, Keerthi Reddy said, “Our aim is to modernise the theatre culture that once flourished and reintroduce it with extravagant sets, groovy music and breathtaking performances to our present generation.” The production house will be staging the play from February 13 to 18 at Ravindra Bharathi. “This play will take you to a dream land where a genie grants anything you wish for and a flying carpet takes you to where ever you want. Everything is live! Live singing with live orchestra along with dances without playback singing or recorded tracks and specially the scene of a song on the flying magic carpet will be appreciated by everybody,” she added.
