HYDERABAD: Chief secretary Pankaj Dwivedi on Saturday directed the principal secretaries and secretaries to ensure speedy disposal of all matters pertaining to disputed lands.

 He also instructed them to clear  files, which have been pending for a long time without any reason, immediately.

He gave the instructions at a meeting he held with the principal secretaries of the core departments in preparation for the 45-day-long budget session of the Assembly.

According to sources, the chief secretary advised the principal secretaries and secretaries to work with commitment for the welfare of the people, saying their work would reflected on the government. He asked them to come up with realistic budget proposals and estimates and see that all the issues were projected properly. He directed the officials to keep ready all information pertaining to their departments and make it available to ministers to answer members’ questions in the House.
