HYDERABAD: The clerk of private bullion company was caught on Monday with three-and-half kilo gold biscuits and was detained for questioning.
The 20-year-old clerk of Kewal Bullion Corporation, Narahari was caught during vehicle checking at Plaza Junction on SP Road on Monday afternoon.
The checking was being conducted as part of intensified security check ahead of the Republic Day parade on January 26.
The police team caught Narahari while he was travelling in a Honda Activa.
Narahari told police he was bringing the gold from Brinks Arya Pvt Ltd, a private security services firm, on the orders of his employer for his delivery.
The gold biscuits have been seized and investigation is on.
