SANGAREDDY: Ramachandrapuram sub-divisional police officer P Venkataratnam has been placed under suspension by DGP V Dinesh Reddy for serious allegations of corruption and demanding her share in settling land disputes.
She was ordered to handover her charge to the additional superintedent of police at Medak and stay in Hyderabad.
A complaint was lodged against Venkataratnam recently during the Praja Darbar programme where the DGP interacts with public to address their grievances.
Based on the complaint, he ordered for a departmental investigation, following which Venkataratnam was suspended.
