HYDERABAD: Stating that the online process of filling application forms will reduce the scope of human error, Eamcet-2012 convenor Prof.

NV Ramana Rao on Wednesday said that the notification for Eamcet exam would be issued on February 10.

The process of online application which begins on February 12 allows for payment of fees through different payment gateways including credit and debit card system as well as through eseva, APOnline and payment through post-office.

“As an aid to those who are not proficient with computers, the AP online centres will aid candidates in filling in the details at a nominal cost of `10 per form,” he said.

One of the salient features of the online application system include automatic uploading of candidate’s photograph and name when the Inter hall-ticket number is entered.

“We have a database from 2004 onwards for candidates who have appeared for Intermediate exam.

For those who are from other boards have to upload their pictures while filling the form.

The candidate’s picture of Intermediate exam appears on the form and serves as a proof that the details are accurate,” Ramana Rao said.

Also, the same form can be used for applying for both engineering and for agriculture/ medical entrance test.

The message for confirmation of successful submission of the form is intimated through SMS as well as e-mail.

The confirmation page can be produced at the time of the examination.

With regard to availability of internet facilities in rural areas and scope for changing details regarding address on the form, Eamcet examination committee cited the example of recently held APPSC, APTET as well as VRO/ VRA examinations which were also based on online application system.

The method of answering continues to be through filling OMR sheets.

This year around 3.3 lakh candidates are likely to appear for the examination and 95,000 for the agriculture and medical stream, being conducted by JNTU Hyderabad on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education.

Two new regional centres at Amalapuram and Siddipet have been added due to the large number of students appearing for the exam from these centres
