HYDERABAD: SR Nagar police on Saturday arrested three persons allegedly involved in chain snatching and recovered 90 tola gold ornaments worth `27 lakh. The trio had as many as 35 complaints of chain snatching booked against them in different police stations in the city.
The three accused, Gulam Rasool alias Majid, Mohammed Faizal and Mohammed Azmath, all residents of Bolanagar in Banjara Hills, were nabbed when moving around in suspicious circumstances in Yousufguda. During interrogation, they confessed to the offences.
The three persons were involved in 25 chain snatching incidents under SR Nagar police station limits and 10 offences in Punjagutta, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Asifnagar and other places.
