HYDERABAD: The third accused in the Emaar Properties- APIIC scam case, GV Vijay Raghavan, Head, Finance, Emaar-MGF, South Region, has alleged that the CBI subjected him to thirddegree methods to extract information.

Raghavan's counsel told the special CBI court on Monday that Narender Devo, CBI inspector, applied thirddegree methods on Vijay Raghavan in the name of questioning at Dilkusha Guest House on October 19, 2011.

With his remand end on Monday, CBI officials produced Raghavan before magistrate B Naga Maruthi Sharma.

Dismissing the CBI's plea for his police custody, the court extended his judicial remand till Feb 1.

Vijay Raghavan's counsel said his client had appeared before the CBI for 28 hours in 28 days.

“What are the grounds for the CBI to seek his police custody? He revealed the facts he was aware of,'' the counsel said.
