HYDERABAD: A housewife was attacked with a knife by her cousin in her home at Kothapet on Wednesday . The injured, 35-year-old Latha, is wife of advocate Narasimhulu and are residents of Janapriya apartments.

Latha’s relative Anitha came to visit two days back.

Anitha’s relative, Swarnalatha, also came on Tuesday and all of them left by afternoon. Latha went to a school and as she returned, Swarnalatha also returned. Claiming she forgot a purse, Swarnalatha entered and attacked Latha. As Latha ran out with a cut on her throat, Swarnalata also slashed her wrist and locals rushed them to a hospital. Swarnalatha claimed they were attacked by unidentified persons. Later, it was found that Latha might have been attacked for her jewellery..
