HYDERABAD: Leaders of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Small Industries Association (FAPSIA), who had been on relay hunger strike since March 1 demanding lifting of power cuts, called off their agitation on Monday following state governments’ assurance to supply uninterrupted power supply.

Additional director of industries R Madhusudan Rao, who represented the  government at the talks, assured FAPSIA leaders of lifting the power cuts imposed on small-scale industries in a couple of days and assured them of round-the-clock power supply.

Welcoming the government’s assurance, FAPISA president APK Reddy said the government also assured them of addressing other issues raised by them.
