It’s rom-com time

Actor Sharwanand who was in the city last to promote his movie Journey, is back yet again for his soon-to-be-released romantic comedy Nuvva Nena.

Starring opposite actors Shriya Saran and Allari Naresh, for the actor it seems to be yet another movie where he shares screen-space.

“It isn’t really a conscious choice.

I am an actor and I’m trying out as many different roles as possible.

If that happens to be with other actors also in the lead, so what? I have been given scripts where I am the sole hero, but they didn’t really fit right.” Non-chalant about not being Queen-bee, the actor seems to be more than content with his new flick.

Talking about his experience, he says, “This was a very different film for me and even for Naresh.

A completely different genre, it was fun working with a friend and someone with who you share a successful movie.

Naresh and I have come together after four years and after Gamyam, the experience has been very different.” Besides Nuvva Nena, the actor will begin shooting for a bilingual movie that will release in Tamil and Telugu.

Ask him if its a trend that’s creeping in to the industry and he replies, “It isn’t so much of a trend, mostly because movies are dubbed into another language.

But what we’re doing is a proper directorial in two different languages.” Nuvva Nena is set to be released sometime this month, the tentative date being March 16.

Directed by Narayan and produced by Vamsikrishna under the banner SVK Srinivas, the music for the movie has been scored by debutante Bheems.

Looking for a home-run

Gamyam duo Sharwanand and Allari Naresh will be back in a new romantic comedy Nuvva Nena.

Circled around a fight to win the girl (Shriya), the movie has already seemed to make an impact with its audio release.

Speaking at a promotional event, director Narayan clarified the movie wasn’t a remake of Deewana Mastana.

“The movie has a relatively common subject - two guys going after a girl.

So in that way, it may seem similar to other movies, but this is an independent script.” Extremely confident about the movie’s fate is producer Vamsikrishna.

“The movie has something to offer for everybody.

It’s an entertainer and we’re sure it will do well.” The movie stars Shriya Saran, Naresh and Sharwanand in lead roles with Brahmanandam and Kovai Sarala forming a pair for comic relief.

Comedian Ali will also feature in this movi
