HYDERABAD: Deputy chief minister Damodar Raja Narasimha has decided to organise a ‘Chamar Sammelan’ in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. He has not finalised the location, but has plans to organise Chamar conventions in connection with April 5 Babu Jagjivan Ram’s and April 14 Dr BR Ambedkar’s birthday celebrations.

Narasimha wants to create political and social awareness among the downtrodden by popularising the philosophy of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Maharaj. Recently, he organised a big convention at Lal Bahadur Sastry stadium in Hyderabad, which was attended by thousands of persons from all over Telangana region.

After receiving good response, he now has plans to organise similar  conventions in other parts of the state.
