HYDERABAD:  Hyderabad:  Police on Wednesday arrested two persons who were involved in duping people by tampering ATMs and withdrawing cash. According to police, the two accused withdrew around Rs 60,000 from various bank accounts at ATMs. Explaining the modus operandi of the accused, Moghulpura inspector Syed Fayyaz said Mohammed Sahil (24) and Mohammed Moosa Ali (21), both residents of Kolkota, block a section of the touch screen of the ATMs. A customer, after inserting the ATM card, keys in his PIN but cannot continue the transaction as the screen is intelligently blocked by a tape. As the customer goes away thinking the machine is faulty, the duo continue the ATM transaction and withdraw money.The accused were involved in duping several customers to the tune of Rs 60,000 at SBH ATM in Moghulpura and Moosarambagh, police added.
