HYDERABAD: Police on Wednesday arrested a person in connection with the murder of his wife and brother-in law.

On a tip off, Kachiguda police arrested the accused, Ayila Ravikshankar Goud, who allegedly killed his wife and brother-in-law at his residence on March 24.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Y Gangadhar said that police arrested Ravishankar, a resident of Metherbasthi, Qutbiguda, Kachiguda, who has been at large after his wife and brother-in-law were murdered.The police interrogated the accused and prepared confession-cum-seizure report after blood-stained clothes were seized from him.

According to police, Ravishanker got married to 20 year-old G Renuka, a resident of Adibatla village, Ibrahimpatnam Mandal in 2010 and the couple has one daughter.

Later, differences cropped up between the couple and they resorted into frequent quarrels.

Even, Ibrahimpatanam police counselled the both once, but in vain.Police said, on March 24, Ravishankar prevented Renuka to go her parent’s house which resulted in an altercation between the both and Ravishankar slapped Renuka during the argument.

Renuka called her brother Hari to her house.

But, the quarrel between the couple continued.

In a fit of rage, Ravishankar stabbed Renuka to death.

Hari, who went outside to buy some medicine, found his sister lying dead in pool of blood on the floor after returning home.

Seeing this.

he tried to attack Ravishankar, but the latter stabbed him with the same knife.

Hari died on the spot, police said.

Ravishankar escaped from the scene after Renuka's father reached there.

Police arrested the accused from Gowliguda bus stand on Wednesday.
