NALGONDA: A 34-year-old man attempted suicide for Telangana statehood at Bhanavath thanda of Kondrapole village of Damaracharla mandal on Friday.

According to sources, B.

Suresh, a labourer, set himself afire at his house and came out on to the street shouting `Jai Telangana’.

His wife Kalavathi and other villagers rushed him to Miryalaguda Government Hospital and later he was shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad.

Miryalaguda circle inspector Ananda Reddy registered a case and is inquiring.
