GHMC mayor M Majid Hussain while inspecting Tank Bund and NTR Marg on Tuesday expressed dissatisfaction over the bad condition of seating arrangements at bus shelters.
The mayor pointed out that the bus shelters in the twin cities are displaying various advertisements in an attractive manner but the seating arrangements made for passengers are poorly maintained.
“The place to display the route maps is being utilised for displaying advertisements which is highly objectionable,” said GHMC commissioner M T Krishna Babu.
He directed the zonal commissioner to call for a meeting with the agencies concerned to ensure proper maintenance of bus shelters.
The mayor and the commissioner along with officials inspected the Necklace road, Tank Bund road and NTR Marg stretch where the idol immersion took place.
The mayor has directed the executive engineer concerned to take up the footpath works.
