Air passenger carries gold in DVD player

The custom officials of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) detained a passenger who was carrying 900 grams gold in a DVD player without paying  taxes here on Wednesday. Police seized gold total worth of Rs 26 lakh from him.

According to sources, the custom officials noticed a passenger, Iqbal, who arrived at the airport from Dubai possessing 900 grams gold in a DVD player.

Upon being questioned, Iqbal reportedly told that he purchased gold in Dubai and then travelled to the city. Iqbal is still being interrogated in connection with the case.
