A 5-year-old girl, who went missing from her house on Saturday, was traced by the police on Sunday.

The girl, Manasvini, was playing near her residence at Borabanda in Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar police limits when a woman lured her with chocolates and whisked her away. A day later, she was found abandoned at Ramanthapur in the Amberpet police limits after the abductors had relieved her of the earrings.

On receiving information from some residents of Ramanthapur that a girl was sitting and crying near the main road, Amberpet police rushed to the spot, found the girl and brought her to the police station.

On questioning her, they came to know that she had been kidnapped.
