Dispute over property led to a man killing his elder brother at Peddammanagar in Jubilee Hills here on Saturday night. Soon after killing his brother, the accused surrendered himself before the police.
The victim, Nagaraju (30), and the accused, Mahesh (27), lived in the same house at Peddammanagar.
According to police, Mahesh went to the house at 10.30 pm on Saturday in an inebriated condition and picked up an argument with Nagaraju. “During the agrument, Mahesh took an iron rod and hit Nagaraju on his head, killing him on the spot,” said police, adding that Mahesh dragged Nagaraju’s body and kept it in a drainage near his house and then surrendered himself.
