Two days after he received the two-page order dismissing him for kidnapping a superintendent of police of the Police Transport Organisation (PTO), constable KN Giri Prasad Sarma released a CD on Sunday stating that he was not involved in the kidnapping of Lakshminarayana. He also uploaded on YouTube a 30-minute video footage that was recorded on a spy camera. ‘I have at least 26 CDs of police officials’ involvement in various irregularities in the department. I will release all the CDs in a phased manner. I demand that police officials register cases against the SP,’’ he said and demanded that director-general of police V.Dinesh Reddy consider withdrawing the kidnap case registered against. After the kidnap drama and an inquiry, DGP issued orders dismissing Sarma from service.
