50 agriculture university students detained for staging rasta roko

The Rajendranagar police took 50 students of NG Ranga Agriculture University into custody when they staged a rasta roko on the National Highway-7, demanding the appointment of vice-chancellor from Telangana region. The students took out a rally from the varsity to the national highway and staged rasta roko, after which police rushed to the spot and took them into custody. The traffic movement on the highway came to standstill a couple of hours.

5-tola gold chain snatched

Two unidentified persons snatched 5-tola gold chain from a 65-year-old woman in Sanathnagar here on Wednesday. Sanathnagar inspector S Srinivas Rao said Sashi Rekha was walking when the two unidentified persons came on a bike and snatched away the chain.
