Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Wednesday found large scale irregularities in as many as 43 blood banks across the state.
The committee noticed that organisers were not following the rules that blood should be taken only from healthy persons.
“The CAG mentioned that as many as 233 blood banks had violated the norms in taking blood from donors. Our committee has reviewed the performance of 43 blood banks, in which we found irregularities in their functioning,” TDP MLA Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said.
