2 Burglars held , 11 lakh recovered

Police arrested two persons who were involved in nine theft cases in Alwal police station limits here on Thursday. Police recovered 33 tola gold ornaments and 1.5 kg silver worth Rs 11 lakh from them.

According to police, when the duo were moving under suspicious circumstances, police brought them to the police station. During interrogation, the accused confessed to their offences.

The accused have been identified as J Yadgiri (24), resident of Old Alwal and B Sudarshan (44), resident of Nizamabad.

“Yadgiri was involved in five cases of night-time house burglaries, while Sudarshan was involved in four cases of day-time house burglaries,” Alwal inspector B Pushpan Kumar said. Earlier, Yadgiri was arrested in various offences and was remanded.He recently came out on bail and resumed his activity.
