Dealing with a petition filed by Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavita, High Court on Friday granted her permission to organise “All Women Festival - Batukamma Jatara”, the concluding day of Oorura Batukamma Jatara, on the Tank Bund here on October 23 strictly between 5 pm and 10 pm.
Justice KC Bhanu, while disposing of the petition, directed the city police commissioner to give publicity in advance to alternative traffic passage via the Lower Tank Bund Road during the above period.
The place of celebration shall be beyond the northern side entry of Tank Bund while going to Secunderabad and the traffic island in the middle of Tank Bund so as to enable the traffic to pass smoothly towards Liberty Crossroads.
