Musheerabad clashes: 25 more arrested

The police on Monday arrested as many as 25 persons in connection with the clashes that took place in Musheerabad a few days ago. Earlier, the police arrested seven persons who were involved in the issue.

Talking to mediapersons here on Monday, Hyderabad police commissioner Anurag Sharma said they arrested 25 persons in Gandhinagar and Musheerabad police station limits.

The clashes had broken out on October 24 between people belonging to two different communities at Bholakpur and adjoining areas. In the clashes, one person was stabbed, six others, including central zone DCP Tarun Joshi, were injured in subsequent stone pelting, which lasted for over four hours. Suspecting that an Ox was being transported for slaughtering, a group of persons attacked the other group. Two RTC buses, two cars and two other vehicles were damaged in the incident.

Police registered 13 cases against persons belonging to both the communities.
