The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, police and other departments are not giving proper feedback on citizens’ grievances received at his monthly face-to-face programme, city mayor M Majid Hussain has said.
‘’Several grievances received by him from citizens living in Greater Hyderabad during the face-to-face programmes are referred to the departments concerned, requesting them to solve them at the earliest and to intimate the GHMC at the earliest on the action taken report, but it is not happening. They should address the grievances on priority basis and solve them at the earliest,’’ he said during the programme on Saturday.
He said citizens were repeating their grievances, complaining that those raised on earlier occasions had not been addressed.
Overflow of sewage, illegal constructions, illegal parking, non-glowing of street lights, property tax, etc constituted bulk of the complaints during the programme held on Saturday.
