About 300 delegates from various parts of the world will participate in the World Agriculture Forum Congress and Agri-Tech Trade Fair here next month.

The Congress, with the theme "Re-shaping agriculture for a sustainable future of small and marginal farmers", scheduled Nov 4-7, would discuss steps for making farming economically viable and improving farmers' income.

Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar will inaugurate the Congress being held for the first time in Asia.

The chief minister Wednesday reviewed the arrangements for the conference to be held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.

The chief minister said the Congress and Fair will be an opportunity for 5,000 farmers from 22 districts of the state to interact with world delegates and get first hand knowledge of the best practices and methodologies in the world.
