3 cops held for robbery

The Task Force police on Wednesday arrested four persons including three constables for robbing two persons of Rs 50 lakh cash.

The Task Force police on Wednesday arrested four persons including three constables for robbing two persons of Rs 50 lakh cash. The three constables were suspended. Police recovered Rs 48 lakh from them. According to police, on October 21, two persons, Suresh and Kondal Rao, were carrying Rs 50 lakh in cash belonging to Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions. As their bike reached Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, the four accused detained the bike posing as Task Force personnel and snatched the cash bag asking the victims to come to Banjara Hills police station to collect the amount.
