HYDERABAD: Imparting education is not an easy feat. The task of shaping young minds is an onerous one; which is why ensuring those imparting it are trained properly is crucial.

With this in mind, educationalist Ramana Rao started Crescendo Knowledge Solutions in the year 2000 towards training teachers who can mould children into successful and confident individuals. Since its inception, the company has spread to many states in the country.

“We have more than 45 schools under us in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra aimed at encouraging quality education and skill development, improvement of teachers and teaching methods,” claims Ramana, managing director of Crescendo.  Speaking about the concept, he says, “In my 25 years of teaching and administration of schools, I have seen countries like Korea, Philippines, Singapore doing very well in the field of education as compared to the United States. This is due to the highly advanced and expert teaching system they posses. We wanted to provide this type of education system in our country to ensure all around development of the students.”

What it does

Crescendo helps in content development at both primary and secondary schooling level. The company boasts of a well-trained resource and development department which comprises of high level teaching intellectuals who give training to the teachers, prepare worksheets for the students and teachers besides conducting regular audits for the teachers. As the company focus is on all round development of children, sports and other extracurricular activities are also given their due importance. 

“The USP of our company is our regular audits and feedbacks have improved the standard of teaching. While other companies in the field just give the materials, what sets us apart is our continuous interaction with schools and teachers,” says Ramana.

Even Keel

Their programs are divided into categories like Crescendo Kids, Crescendo  nrich and Crescendo nlite.  Crescendo nrich is meant for classes 1 to 5 where schools are given customized curriculum from publications like Oxford,Orient Black Swan. The schools under the company are provided with worksheets for each lesson which are then supplied to the teacher. “In a single year there are 200 worksheets per subject which are diagnostic, logical, challenging and are creative,” explains Ramana.

The program varies a bit in the secondary learning program--Crescendo nlite. The R&D team makes worksheets by the affiliated textbooks, prepare curriculum for the teachers, the teaching plan for the academic year while also conducting academic audits for the teachers.
