HYDERABAD: Studying abroad no more involves a complex set of formalities. At least, for studying in Australia. With a clear streamlined visa process (SVP), simplified admission procedure, work permit for students up to 40 hours a week and options for a two-year work visa and possibility of a permanent residency makes Australia a much preferred destination for higher education.
Bringing together all the consultancies that provide assistance in higher education in Australia, the Association of Australian Education Representatives in India (AAERI) held a day-long education fair in the city on Wednesday.
“Apart from quality education at affordable rates, we promise other things. Even after completion of a course, one could stay back for two years on work visa and then apply for a permanent residency”, said Bubbly Johar, vice-president and observer, AAERI.
As a student, one could work up to 20 hours a week and when the university is closed, the student could work up to 40 hours a week, he added.
A third year student of Electronics and Communication Engineering at MVSR College, Vasudev Madhusudhandasu, who was at the fair, was looking for any possible destination other than the US.
