HYDERABAD: Memu Saitam says T’wood

Stars.jpgTrue to their word, Tollywood stars came together and entertained their fans all to raise money for Hudhud. Telethon on Sunday kept audience in fits of laughter. From the biggest names – Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Balakrishna and Nagarjuna to Akkineni Akhil and Naga Shourya – all of them came forward to do their bit.

The event that started at 10 am went on till 11 pm and it turned out to be a huge success, where the total amount raised was Rs 11,51,56,116 crores. This amount also included contributions from various other organisations and individuals. 

Star 2.JPGEvents included power-packed kabaddi, that had two teams led by Manchu brothers, Vishnu and Manoj,  star cricket match and anthakshari session along with fun elements from veteran comedians Ali and Brahmanandam to Vennela Kishore.

Nagarjuna’s team, with Akhil as captain won emerged as winners in cricket with stars.

“I am so delighted with the response to kabaddi. It has added up lot of excitement and thrills at the show. So many stars came up to me and said they want to play kabaddi,” said Vishnu Manchu.
