HYDERABAD: With growing consciousness towards wellness, consumers have included green tea as a part of their daily diet considering its health benefits.

Taking this as an good opportunity, Vivanta by Taj, executive sous chef Arjun Yadav presented lemon, aloe vera and honey green tea detox drink, green tea vegetable shammi, citrus and spice green tea poached chicken breast, steamed broccoli and snow peas with malai chai sauce using Tetley green tea variants. The menu also included green tea flavored mud cake with white chocolate ganache and green tea cheese cake with raspberry coulis and fresh fruits. The chef also remarked that these dishes and more can be created quickly and can be savoured with family and friends.

“We pay minute attention to our guests with food being an indispensable part of the overall experience. Keeping the health quotient in mind we have culled out five recipes of exotic green tea dishes. These green tea recipes help strengthening the immune system as it protects the body against oxidants and radicals. It is a great way to promote human health and wellbeing. So the inclusion of green tea in daily diet via food is more relevant than other non-alcoholic beverages widely consumed,” he says.

Keeping up with the present green tea trend, Tetley together with Vivanta have crafted gastronomical delights with green tea for all the wellness enthusiasts of the city.
