HYDERABAD: University of Hyderabad (UoH)’s student union president Vincent Benny got a rare opportunity to witness the discussion on Central Universities Act during the current Parliament session on December 9.

Vincent along with representatives of the other 26 central universities from across the country was invited by the Union Ministry of the Human Resource Development (MHRD) to the Parliament session. He said that he also took part in a brief interaction with HRD Minister Smriti Irani about the ongoing issues of central universities.

Though the Minister had invited them all to take their feedback on the universities, she couldn’t hold the meet due to busy schedule in Parliament.

“We have been told that there will be another meeting with the Minister in January,” Vincent told Express.
