HYDERABAD: For easy processing of building permissions, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation proposes to introduce ‘Single Challan Building Permission’ from January 15, GHMC special officer Somesh Kumar has said.
To encourage building construction activity in the city, the existing building permission rules, which have been found to be cumbersome, will be simplified and single-challan building permission will be introduced and efforts will be made to see that permissions are released in a time- bound manner. At a meeting held with members of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) at the GHMC head office here on Monday, Somesh Kumar directed chief city planner S Devender Reddy to frame guidelines on implementation of single-challan building permission at the earliest. The CREDAI members requested to scrap the parking fee on certain stretches of roads.
