HYDERABAD: With a view to maintain public order, peace and tranquility in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, the city police issued prohibitory orders. These orders shall be in force with effect from 6 am on December 22 to Dec 28.
Police prohibited holding any kind of public meeting without permission from Zonal DCPs, ACPs or joint commissioners concerned.
Carrying of arms such as swords, spears, knives, sticks with or without flags bludgeons, guns, explosives, and other offensive weapons in the above mentioned areas were also banned. Police also prohibited gathering of persons on public roads or public places disturbing peace and order or causing inconvenience, annoyance or danger to the public.
