Justice LN Reddy Elevated as Patna High Court CJ

HYDERABAD: The President has appointed senior-most judge of the Hyderabad High Court justice L Narasimha Reddy as chief justice of the Patna High Court.

Justice Reddy received the warrant of appointment issued by the President on Saturday. He will assume charge as chief justice of the Patna High Court next week. After his transfer, the strength of the judges of the Hyderabad High Court stands at 29 apart from the chief justice.

The bar and bench of the High Court will bid farewell to justice Narasimha Reddy, who has been rendering service as a judge of the High Court for the past 14 years, on January 29. Justice Narasimha Reddy was born on August 1, 1953 in an agricultural family at Gavicherla village in Warangal district. He had primary education at the ZP High School, Sangem and Intermediate education at the Government Junior College, Narsampet. He studied B.Sc at CKM College in Warangal and obtained master’s degree in law (international law) from Osmania University. He enrolled as an advocate in 1979 with the Bar Council of AP.
