Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is all impressed with upcoming Tamil romantic-thriller I and said the film’s director Shankar is bigger than superstar Rajinikanth and former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa. The much-awaited trailer of Shankar’s I, starring Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead, released lasweek. “After seeing I trailer purely as a general common outsider I feel Shankar is bigger than Jayalalitha and Rajnikanth in Tamilnadu,” Varma posted on Twitter. The Satya helmer said the film, which releases early next year, will earn more than Rajinikanth’s latest release Lingaa. “My prediction is that I collections on first day will be bigger than Lingaa and that’s why I say Shankar is bigger than Rajinikant. I was a super huge fan of Rajinikant but now I shifted my loyalty to Shankar,” he said.

The maverick director also invited attention on Monday when he tweeted, “Oh my God! I heard Shanker is coming on Sankrantri ...I wonder what will happen to P K.” This irked angry responses from Pawan Kalyan’s fans because Pawan’s Oh My God and Shanker’s I are releasing on the same day. He later clarified through the same social networking site, “Lot of people seem to be thinking I meant Pawan Kalyan by P K but I only meant PK of Aamir which I thought willrun forever.
